A Reflection on My Bridal Shower

A Reflection on My Bridal Shower

This week’s post isn’t about showcasing products or featuring The View—it’s simply a reflection on a beautiful celebration that my mom so lovingly curated for me.

Walking into my bridal shower felt like stepping into a dream. Every detail reflected the Love is Brewing theme perfectly. The tables were thoughtfully arranged with French presses as centerpieces, filled with Peet’s coffee beans and delicate flowers that looked so real you’d never guess they weren’t. The place settings were made extra special by using my mom’s and my grandma’s wedding china—two generations of love and marriage coming together at one table. It felt deeply sentimental, like a quiet thread connecting our stories.

The food was just as wonderful. Scratch Kitchen created an amazing gluten-free feast that everyone enjoyed, and the cupcakes from Tiffy Cakes were absolutely delicious (and almost too pretty to eat). Every detail—from the decorations to the menu—felt like it had a little piece of my mom’s heart in it. She truly made the day unforgettable.

But what made it truly special were the people.

I’ve always been someone who loves being behind the scenes—the planner, the helper, the one who makes sure everyone else feels seen and celebrated. I find so much joy in creating special moments for the people I love. So, being the one at the center of it all was… different for me. Honestly, it was hard at first. It’s not easy to step into that spotlight and allow others to pour into you.

But as I looked around that room—at my family, my friends, and all the faces that have walked with me through so many seasons of life—I felt something shift. I realized that this day wasn’t just about being celebrated; it was about receiving love. It was about letting others show up for me the way I’ve tried to show up for them. And that was such a beautiful reminder of the community I’m surrounded by.

My mom poured her heart into creating a day that reflected love, warmth, and connection, and she did it perfectly. Every laugh, every hug, every shared story over coffee reminded me of how blessed I am to have people who care so deeply.

As I step into this next chapter of life, I’m carrying that feeling with me—the reminder that love, like coffee, is best when shared. Sometimes, it’s okay to be the one on the receiving end of that love—to let others fill your cup for a while.

Because at the end of the day, love is brewing—in the details, in the people, and in the moments that remind us what truly matters.

Until next time, may your heart be full, your cup warm, and your days brewed with love.

 ☕️ With love,

 Sammi
