There’s something sacred about those words, isn’t there? They capture the quiet joy of knowing—without a doubt—that you’ve found your person. The one who sees you, understands you, and loves you through every season. The one you want to build a life with. For me, that person is not only the love of my life but also my very best friend. It still feels a little surreal to say this… but I’m getting married.
After years of celebrating others, this summer it’s my turn to step into the joy of planning a wedding. And let me tell you—every little moment feels like magic. There was one moment in particular that I’ll hold close forever: finding the dress. I walked out of the fitting room and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror—and instantly, I was in tears. Not because the dress was perfect (though it was!), but because the moment was real. I saw my mom and our dear friend Debbie crying too, and we all just stood there in this full-circle, heart-full kind of silence. That was my bridal moment, and it still gives me chills.
Wedding season is in full swing here in Buena Vista—the kind of season where weekends are filled with flower petals, ceremony music drifting on the breeze, and happy tears that sneak up on you during toasts. There’s a special kind of magic in the air this time of year. You can feel it as you drive past different wedding venues in Buena Vista, as you see families gathered to celebrate their loved ones.

As I look ahead to our wedding day, my heart is filled with so much gratitude—not just for the planning and the pretty details, but for the deeper promise behind it all. I keep coming back to the words in Ruth 1:16–17:
“Where you go, I will go, and where you stay, I will stay... Where you die, I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.”
It’s more than a vow—it’s a picture of covenant love. A love that’s loyal, rooted, and unshakable.
I hope that every couple celebrating an engagement or walking down the aisle this season finds a love like that. A love that chooses, commits, and endures. A love that says, “where you go, I will go,” and means it with their whole heart.
And as for me—I’m just so thankful to have found mine.
