A Mother-Daughter Market Tradition

A Mother-Daughter Market Tradition

Each summer, there’s one trip I look forward to more than any other—the Dallas Home and Gift Market with my mom. It’s become a tradition, one that fills both our hearts and our heads with inspiration, creativity, and connection. For a few days, we leave the everyday hustle behind and step into a world of sparkle, style, and seasonal magic.

This isn’t just a buying trip—it’s our time. Time to dream, plan, laugh, and just be together. The big city always adds a special kind of energy, but it’s the small, simple pleasures that make it memorable. Like having breakfast, Door Dashed straight to our hotel room each morning—coffee in hand, ready to start the day, planning our path through the maze of market showrooms.

This year, our goal was clear: find incredible holiday treasures to bring back to The View. And let me tell you, the market did not disappoint. We’ve been on the hunt for a vendor that truly captures the spirit of Christmas—timeless, whimsical, and full of joy. My mom has collected nutcrackers for as long as I can remember, and seeing her light up when we found the perfect line made my whole market.

We’re thrilled to announce that Kurt Adler Nutcrackers will be arriving at The View just in time for the holidays! From classic styles to bold, whimsical pieces, these nutcrackers are more than décor—they are heirlooms in the making.

As always, I left Dallas with a suitcase full of ideas and a heart full of gratitude. These trips remind me how lucky I am to do what I love alongside someone I love. And I can’t wait to share the magic we discovered with all of you this holiday season. Stay tuned in the weeks to come for new arrivals and changes coming to The View!

Until the next time ~

Sammi
