These words remind us why we celebrate. Easter is a time to rejoice in the truth that light overcomes darkness, life conquers death, and love never fails. Whether you're gathered with family, preparing your favorite meal, or simply pausing for a quiet moment of gratitude—this week is about remembering the ultimate gift of grace.
At The View, we always try to strike the balance between celebration and sacred. As a store, yes—we sell beautiful things. But more importantly, we believe in creating space for meaningful moments, big and small. And during Easter week, that feels more special than ever.
Easter Traditions & A Sweet Recipe
Every family has its traditions, and for ours, Easter wouldn’t be complete without the Easter Lamb cake. My father, a true Meister Baker, passed down his iron lamb molds to my brother and me. Each year, I attempt to replicate his perfection—and though I may not have inherited all of his baking prowess, I’m determined to keep the tradition alive (even if mine leans a little more rustic!).
If you're looking for a fun new addition to your Easter baking lineup, we've got one for you: Easter Nest Doughnuts—made with our delicious Stonewall Kitchen Doughnut Mix. Top them with coconut “grass,” chocolate eggs, and a little love, and you’ve got a sweet treat that’s as fun to make as it is to eat.

Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded coconut
- 1 large egg, beaten
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 box Stonewall Kitchen Chocolate Doughnut Mix
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- 2-3 Tbsp. milk
- 1 bag candy coated chocolate eggs
- Preheat oven to 325° F. Grease doughnut pan and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread the shredded coconut into a thin, even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Place in oven for 3-4 minutes. Remove and toss the coconut with a spatula. Place back in oven and toast for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until coconut has browned slightly. Remove and allow to cool completely before transferring the coconut to a small bowl.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, oil and buttermilk. Stir in contents the of the doughnut mix. Mix until well combined.
- Pipe or spoon batter into doughnut well, filling each half full. Bake 10-15 minutes. Allow to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before carefully removing them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- While the doughnuts are cooling, combine the glaze mix with 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Slowly add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the glaze is at desired consistency. Whisk until very smooth.
- When the doughnuts and toasted coconut are completely cool, dip the tops of the doughnuts into glaze and then dip them into the toasted coconut, allowing the coconut to adhere to the glaze. Set aside and let the glaze set completely.
- When the glaze has set, place 3 candy coated chocolate eggs into the center of each doughnut and serve.
