There’s something magical about the start of a new year, isn’t there? It’s a blank page, a fresh start, an opportunity to turn the lessons of the past into a plan for the future. As I step into 2025, I can’t help but feel excited about the endless possibilities ahead.
If you read my post last week, you know that 2024 was a year of growth and transformation for me—a year of challenges, lessons, and beauty. Now, as I look forward, I’m embracing the opportunity to shape the year ahead with intention.
For those of you who know me, you won’t be surprised to hear that I am Type A to my core. I like things neat and planned out. I need to know what we’re doing, when we’re doing it, and how we’re getting there. I am perpetually early—sometimes to a fault. You’ll often find me sitting in the parking lot 15 minutes before I’m supposed to be somewhere because I’d rather be awkwardly early than fashionably late.
But while I may know exactly where I’m supposed to be and what I’m supposed to do, I’ve never been great at writing it all down. I keep it in my head, which works… until it doesn’t. So, for 2025, I’m setting a goal to get my life out of my head and onto paper.
I love the idea of starting the year with a fresh planner. There’s something so satisfying about opening those crisp, blank pages, grabbing a set of pretty pens, and mapping out the days and weeks ahead. Writing things down feels like a promise to myself—a commitment to stay organized and intentional.
And it’s not just about schedules. Planning my meals is another goal for the new year. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from my celiac diagnosis is that planning is everything. Gone are the days of winging it and hoping for the best. In 2025, I want to create a weekly meal plan so I don’t have to waste energy wondering what’s for dinner or stressing over last-minute decisions.
If you’re like me and love the idea of starting fresh with a beautiful new planner, we’ve got you covered at The View Cafe! We have some stunning options from my favorite Rifle Paper Company—classic designs that make organization feel inspiring—and an exciting new addition from Kelly Rae Roberts. Her planners are full of vibrant, uplifting artwork that’s perfect for setting an intentional, joyful tone for the year.

You can shop these planners in-store or find them online through our website (I’ve added the link for you!). Whether you’re writing down appointments, mapping out meals, or simply making space for your goals and dreams, these planners are tools to help you turn the page on 2024 and make 2025 your best year yet.
So now I’m curious—how are you stepping into the new year? Are you a planner who loves mapping things out on paper? Do you rely on your phone to keep track of everything? Or are you more of a “plan in your head and hope for the best” kind of person?
Here’s to a fresh start and a beautiful 2025! Let’s make it a year of possibilities and purpose.
Until next time,
Sammi
